Our Business
Introduction
Stevens Garnier is a small company with big ideas. After starting the business in 1976 we’re hardly a novelty. We’re no longer even mistaken for a firm of accountants. In fact, many of the companies that use us as a wine supplier, don’t give much thought at all to the quality of service our team gives, or to our brilliant, global portfolio of wines, or to the bespoke problem solving solutions we often provide. When you’re used to our philosophy you don’t think about it anymore.
Even the UK’s biggest wine sellers use our small company on a regular basis. So if you want to be a big part of a small success, think Stevens Garnier.
Marketing
We think of our size as a strength and the fact that we are small doesn’t mean we can’t be big on creativity. Our in-house team likes nothing better than a challenge and, like Olympic gymnasts, they’re pretty flexible. We provide all the services you’d expect from a top wine agency – promotions, wine lists, tent cards, posters and the like – but we’re much more enthusiastic about the ideas that you feel can make your business even more successful. So if you have an idea tell us. We won’t pass it through a series of committees. We don’t even have committees. We’ll give you answers there and then.
Service
Being small we treat each of our customers like our business depends on it – because it does. Our sales force has close to 200 years of experience in the business and we take great pride in our personal level of service and the attention to detail we can bring to you. When you call us you won’t encounter an automated switchboard, just good old fashioned humans with a brain and a problem solving attitude.
It doesn’t stop there. We value our wine as much as our customers. To ensure that your wine reaches you in perfect condition, when and where you want it, we work closely with Octavian as our storage and nationwide delivery partner.
Wine
The cornerstone of our success over the years has been the quality of our wine portfolio and the strength of our relationships with those who produce them around the globe. We choose them - or sometimes they choose us - because we share the same philosophy. With few exceptions, all are family owned or small to medium sized wineries. All are quality focussed and flexible with a sympathetic attitude to the needs of the UK market. All place the ratio of quality to price at the top of their agenda. All have a long term vision and realise that lasting success has to be built with patience, understanding and commitment.
Just like our customers, our wineries know that because we are small they play a big part in our continuing success.
