Portugal » Alentejo

Alentejo is the most southerly of Portugal's quality wine regions. It's flat and open expanses of land allow for much bigger estates than in the more difficult, if spectacular, terrain of say the Douro. Ripe wines, bursting with fruit and flavour, as evidenced for example by our Callabriga or Pena de Pato Alentejo's, are definitely the order of the day here.
