» Galicia
Galicia, resting on the atlantic coast of north west Spain, shot to fame in the UK about ten years ago with a then little known white wine called Albariño (which is named after the grape that produces it) from an unpronounceable DO called Rias Baixas . Now it is a must on good wine lists everywhere. The Galician climate is cool and wet, very marginal for grape growing in fact, but the best growers and we work with Bodegas As Laxas who are one of them somehow consistently manage to deliver great fruit and make great wine.
