France » Bordeaux » Saint-Julien

Nestling into the southern borders of Paulliac on the left bank of the Gironde, lies St Julien, the smallest of the four "big guns" of the Médoc. Its gravelly soils are fairly consistent across all the estates of the region. What it lacks in variety of soil though, is more than made up for by the charm and consistent quality of the wines that are produced there. Sophisticated, stylish wines that are highly drinkable and that really embody the true qualities of claret.
