Tasting notes

Made from carefully selected grapes, harvested as late as possible. Overtly rich on the nose, with nuances of citrus and tropical fruit. Luscious, full and fruity on the palate, with perfectly balanced, refreshing acidity and superb length. Excellent as an accompaniment to light desserts and creamy cheeses.

Production method

Late harvested grapes are gently pressed and the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks for 5 weeks at 12C to produce a wine with low alcohol and rich sweetness.

Producer notes

Chateau des Charmes owns four vineyards in Niagara-on-the-Lake. These are the largest estate vineyards in Niagara, producing beautifully balanced Late Harvest Riesling, as well as Icewines of incomparable lusciousness and complexity. A graduate of the University of Burgundy at Dijon, Paul Bosc came to Canada from France in the 1960s, bringing five generations of winegrowing experience to his new home.
