Tasting notes
Intense dark red with a nose of violets, liquorice and fresh cigars. With its intense dark colour and fresh tobacco and floral nose, this is a beautifully balanced wine, with flavours of ripe, dark fruits, violets and spice. Broad tannins lend complexity to a long, fresh and satisfying finish.
Production method
Maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation lasted for 10 days at 28/30C, followed by malolactic fermentation. Ageing for a minimum of 8 months in French (50%) and American (50%) oak barrels, followed by 6 months in bottle prior to release.

Vina Los Boldos lies in the foothills of the Andes mountains, in Alta Cachapoal region. A recent addition to Sogrape's global portfolio of wineries, this latest acquisition strengthens the company's position in South America. Los Boldos is known for its high quality Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the clay and stones of the old Cachapoal riverbed. Los Boldos is working to extract the best from each vineyard row and block, and planting new experimental varieties such as Touriga Nacional and Viognier - promising exciting new developments for the future.
