Tasting notes
Dry, fragrant 100% Chenin Blanc from the vineyards of the famous Château Moncontour at Rochecorbon. Typical lemony, grassy aromas and flavours. Excellent with trout and white fish dishes.
Production method
Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, followed by short maturation in vat.
Producer notes
If you are visiting the Loire, Chateau Moncontour is a must to add to your itinerary. The winery is built into the side of the hill directly below the Chateau and uses gravity to convey the juice from the presses to the fermentation vats. The still wines produced from Chenin Blanc make a delicate, easy-to-drink aperitif and the méthode traditionnelle is elegant and aromatic.
