Tasting notes

Attractive salmon pink in colour, this sparkling wine is brimming with tropical fruit aromas (melon and pineapple predominating). Lively, fresh and fruity on the palate with flavours of peach and citrus, it has a long and refreshing finish. Ideal as an aperitif.

Producer notes

Winemaker Luis Cabral de Almeida asserts that Flichman is all about "Attitude with Altitude", which is why the winery is enjoying such success today. Following significant investment from Portuguese owners, Sogrape, massive vineyard expansion has allowed Flichman to experiment, innovate and excite. Unique to Flichman is the specific location of the Barrancas estate at 700 metres above sea level. Vineyards are planted on the old Mendoza river-bed, where the stony soils are ideally suited for Syrah. Flichman has also planted vineyards in Tupungato, at 1100m, where the distinctive climatic conditions lend additional acidity and complexity to the wines.
