Tasting notes

Complex and clsssic Grüner Veltliner. Reserve substances stored in the old vine wood are reflected in the subtle minerality of the wine. Weather conditions are responsible for the fine and elegant fruit flavours. The finish is dry but refreshing, with a complex minerality.

Producer notes

Established in the 15th Century by the Benedictine monks of Tegernsee Abbey. Now owned and run by the 5th generation of the Mittelbach family, the estate comprises 25 hectares in total, with 19 ha in the Wachau (Austria's Côte d'Or), including holdings in all seven 'Grand Cru' vineyard sites. The remaining 6 ha are in Kremstal – Austria's Mâconnais. Winemaker Martin Mittelbach's philosophy is "the highest level of excellence must be the minimum we should expect from these wines."
