Tasting notes

A very bright and clear wine with a pale, citrus-yellow hue. Its bouquet is intense and complex with a prevalence of citrus notes complemented by tropical fruit and floral tones. On the palate it has lively acidity balanced by complex flavours that makes for a wine full of character. It has a fine body, intense flavour, and a long, lingering finish.

Production method

Following fermentation the wine was matured for 3 months in stainless steel vats at low temperatures and was bottled following fining, ultra-cooling stabilisation and filtration.

Producer notes

Portugal is a land of contrasts, from the undulating plains of Alentejo in the south through the granite mountains of the Dão and the picturesque Douro valley, to the pleasant green land of Vinho Verde in the far North. Sogrape strongly believe in indigenous grape varieties, and find the best results come from blends rather than single varietals. The Callabriga regional range continues to make an impact with award-winning Dao, Douro and Alentejo wines, while Quinta de Azevedo is the leading premium brand of Vinho Verde in the UK.
