Tasting notes

Delightful ruby red with distinctive bouquet of macerated red fruits and cassis. An elegant wine, with lots of spice, pepper and black cherry and strawberry fruit. With soft, well-integrated tannins, it has a long, satisfying finish.

Production method

Temperature -controlled alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel with daily pumping over. Maturation in stainless steel vat.

The Domaine de la Présidente takes the best from time-honoured procedures for wine making and combines them with various new techniques to produce some magnificent, award-winning wines from the Côtes du Rhône and Chateauneuf du Pape. The Estate in Sainte Cecile-des-Vignes dates from the 17th century, and became national property after the French Revolution in 1789. The Domaine now comprises 120 ha. between Chateauneuf du Pape and Gigondas. The diversity of terroir in the vineyards offers the benefits of different geological strains and micro-climates – allowing the wines to express all the characteristic aromas and powerful flavours of the region.
