Tasting notes

Golden incolour with brilliant green reflections. The complex nose combines the dominant aroma of flowers with the scent of white peach and the exotic flavour of pineapples. Lively, but also round and full in texture, this wine is beautifully balanced, with the acidity accentuating the fruitiness. The long finish carries flavours of citrus and apples. This wine is exceptionally good with seafood.

Production method

Must is cold clarified prior to temperature-controlled fermentation and maturation in stainless steel vats.

Producer notes

Floriane and Olivier Azan bought Petit Roubié, a 60ha estate in the AOC of Picpoul de Pinet, in 1981, converting the entire production to organic practices in 1995. It remains to this day the only officially certified organic winery in the region. A full range of varietal wine (IGP Pays d'Hérault) is available from the estate - all bursting with bright, fresh fruit and vitality - but it's upon the Picpoul de Pinet that Petit Roubié has built its enviable reputation. White blossom, yellow fruits, spices and classic saline finish makes this wine amongst the top from the appellation.
